Dear Chloé,
Today, you told us it’s time to say goodbye. At 16 years & 3 months old, we knew how important it was to make every day count. You showed us not only what a fierce fighter you are, but also your greatest gift was that of true compassion & how to love in ways we didn’t know were possible.
Thank you for 16 years of happiness, patience, kindness & love without condition or boundaries. We just want you to know that all of our happiest memories have been with you
You are a good girl & you have lived your life to the absolute fullest in every way
We’ve traveled thousands of miles together, by car, on bike & on foot ~ to the beach, to work, to baseball games, to pet fairs, to the bank, to the Park, to the car wash, to the Pet Store, and of course to Home Depot
Thank you for always being there for us with a toy, a kiss & a snuggle even on our worst days and yours. Somehow, you managed to always know what we were thinking without us ever saying a word
Through the last year & a half, since your diagnosis with Canine Cognitive Dysfunction, you fought long & hard. You no longer have to fight
You selfishly gave us so much more than we ever could’ve imagined & you leave behind not only us, but also your half-sister Coco Chanel who is the perfect combination of both you & mama Dakota. We are all so lucky to have had you in our lives. We promise, we will be okay
We wrote you this letter to help us let go. With this goodbye, you finally will be reunited with your family ~ mama Dakota, papa Finley & sissy Ivy, at your happy place on the Farm. May you all find peace & happiness together over the rainbow bridge where every day will be spent playing ball, frisbee & swimming
Goodbye Chloé-dog. We truly hope you know how much you were & will always be loved ❤️

Beautifully written. Sending our deepest condolences on the loss of Chloe
