Hershey Lodge: Endless Summer Vacation Fun at The Sweetest Place on Earth – Hershey, Pennsylvania

We checked into Hershey Lodge for the sweetest summer getaway where the fun never stops thanks to charming accommodations, endless amenities & convenient location as one of the Official Resorts of Hersheypark.

Originally opening as Hershey Motor Lodge in May of 1967, Hershey Lodge has been a favorite full-service resort for visitors of all ages to The Sweetest Place on Earth for decades, and it’s easy to see why. Yes, this is a popular convention hotel, but with not one but two conventions taking place during our visit (which we only found out after we checked-out), this was never an issue for us.

As we made our way up the resort drive, we were welcomed with a spectacular summer landscape. Valet parking was available, but there is plenty of FREE parking throughout the resort. We stayed for a weekend in June, during what is considered to be “Peak Season” and we absolutely loved that we could check-in at the Main Lobby, drop our bags, and then move our car to a spot closer to our guestroom – an excellent recommendation by Sam at the Front Desk!

The impressive Main Lobby featured warm wooden accents, stacked stone interiors, cozy fireplaces, and complimentary Hershey Bars which we both received at check-in, a signature of the Official Resorts of Hersheypark. The Lobby’s decor is very similar many of our favorite Northeastern ski lodges, and all of the fresh florals & greenery added a nice pop of color.

The centerpiece of the lobby is an inviting four-sided stone fireplace surrounded by plush leather sofas & fresh florals where we’d love to spend an afternoon with a good book and a hot Hershey’s cocoa.  This is where character meets occur, so be sure to check the daily activities schedule for your chance to meet your favorite Hershey’s characters.

CHARMING ACCOMODATIONS

Our spacious & inviting guestroom was clean & quiet and had the sweetest touches, including chocolate-themed décor & linens, and views of the beautifully landscaped resort grounds. this is what sweet dreams are made of!

We loved the mix of rustic & modern elements, and the convenience of being located in the Kisses Tower.

Hershey Lodge even has a dedicated Kids’ Check-In to make everyone’s stay a little sweeter.  Here, younger guests can sign the Kid’s Guest Book, participate in games & receive their very own sweet treat!

With so much to do at Hershey Lodge, there truly is something for everyone, but you’ll find us at the indoor waterpark, Hershey’s Water Works, with 30,000+ square feet of fun!
