Forget Black Friday Shopping, we had a magical start to the sweetest holiday season everย at The Hotel Hershey in Hershey, Pennsylvania! From delicious eats to sweet treats & everything in between, this is one Thanksgiving weekend we’ll never forget, so read on to find out what we got up to in The Sweetest Place on Earth.

An official Resort of Hersheypark and located directly across from all the holiday offerings at Hersheypark, this historic AAA Four Diamond luxury hotel is even more magical during the holidays. The buildings & grounds have been transformed into a winter wonderland inside. Every corner is thoughtfully decorated & dressed in its holiday best, and where else but at the Sweetest Place on Earth would you find Christmas ornaments made of chocolate?!

Travel Tip ๐ Donโt forget to explore the grand Hotel Hershey Mediterranean-inspired lobby decked in twinkling lights, poinsettias & hand-decorated trees.

The Hotel Hershey sure is beautiful, but we were super stoked about our dinner reservation! We had a delicious dinner with family & friends at the resortโs newest (and our favorite) restaurant, 1933. If you follow us on Insta, you’ll know our account is basically a 1933-stan account and that Jared *literally* dreams about the food items here!

We dined on She Crab Soup with rich crab bisque, lump crab, & chives, Beer Battered Fish & Chips with Georges Bank Haddock, coleslaw, fries, tartar sauce and of course, their legendary hot-honey chicken wings! Seriously, no trip to The Hotel Hershey would be complete without a visit to 1933 and those “life-changing” chicken wings ๐

The food & service at 1933 are outstanding. The decor is warm, and we really appreciated those cozy fireplaces on this cold December night. Thank you to our server Ishmael for making our meal so special.
After dinner, we grabbed a few of the seasonal cocktails from the cozy Iberian Lounge. This is one of our favorite spots in all of The Hotel Hershey. The romantic lighting, dark wood tones & classy-vibe transport guests back in time to a traditional 1900’s hotel lounge.

Located just off the beautiful grand lobby, the fire in the Lounge was roaring and the luxurious leather seating was inviting and we love the old-world feel.
A few of the featured Seasonal Cocktails for December include:
๐Tiramisu Espresso Martini – Lazzaroni Black Caffe Liqueur, Dark Creme de Cacao, Espresso, Smirnoff Vanilla Vodka, & Cold Foam
๐ Fall 75 – Gunpowder Sardinian Citrus Gin, Cinnamon Syrup, Fresh Lemon Juice, Pear Nectar, & Prosecco
๐ Nutcracker – Angel’s Envy Bourbon, Amaro Montenegro, Sweet Vermouth Dark Creme de Cacao & Black Walnut Bitters
๐La Flota Rubi – Don Q Cristal Rum, Ginger Brandy, Simple Syrup, Fresh Lemon Juice, Ginger Beer & Cockburn’s Ruby Port Float

With this being the holiday season, the Lounge was busier than we found it to be in the summer, and everyone was dressed in their holiday best. Most of the guests we chatted with were coming from Christmas Candylane and looking to rest their feet and take a break from the cold & very windy night.
The Chef’s Market, The Hotel Hershey’s grab & go/quick-service option, also featured a few seasonal dessert offerings that were calling our names!

We simply couldn’t leave empty handed, so we grabbed a delicious Hershey’s signature fudge brownie and a jumbo chocolate cupcake.

The Hotel Hersheyโs holiday hospitality is on full display throughout the holiday season, and the recreation staff who runs The Hotel Hershey’s holiday-themed activities could not have been more sweet. Whether you’re a guest of the hotel or a day visitor with a dining reservation, the staff at The Hotel Hershey go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome.
We ended our night at The Hotel Hershey with the annual tree lighting in The Plaza (located just in front of 1933) filled with live music, smiles & festive cheer. The hotel provided complimentary hot chocolate and cookies to all guests, and we grabbed a few cocktails inside the bar at 1933 to help keep us warm (or at least we feel like they did lol) on this very cold Black Friday evening.

Everyone in attendance had a blast enjoying holiday-themed games and photos with our favorite Hershey’s Characters. The kiddos were helping Santa load his sleigh in one of the games, and another featured a version of ring toss. Outdoor heaters were setup all around The Plaza to help with the cooler temps which was a very nice touch.

The spirit of the holiday season could be felt all around as we counted down to the official tree lighting together while the Hershey Characters flipped the switch, and it was a truly warming post-Thanksgiving event the whole family will love!

Of course we couldn’t leave empty handed! On our way out, we stopped in the main gift shop to grab a souvenir from our visit.

We found a beautiful Christmas ornament to add to our collection, and we immediately found a spot for it on our tree when we arrived home.
Thank you to The Hotel Hershey for a TREE-mendous evening! Next time, we’ll have to participate in the Snowman Scavenger Hunt, book a reservation for breakfast with Santa or that famous December-only Christmas buffet Brunch at The Circular.
