Walt Disney World Resort Guide: Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek – The Perfect Disney Resort Dupe Minutes from the Magic

Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek – 14651 Chelonia Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32821

We found the perfect Disney Resort Dupe, Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek a luxury oasis where the pace is slow and the setting is paradise – right in the heart of all the magic of central Florida’s world-famous attractions.

If you’ve been following our blog, social media or YouTube for a while, you’ll notice that we spend a whole heck of a lot of our time in the central Florida area – Orlando specifically, and that’s been the case the majority of our lives so we’re no strangers to the hotels & resorts of the Orlando-area. However, what is new to us on this adventure is a stay at a Wyndham property that caught our eye with it’s luxury accommodations, gorgeous setting & close proximity to everything & anything we could ever need in the Orlando-area.

For our very first ever stay at a Bonnet Creek Resort and at a Wyndham property, we partnered with our friends at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek, a lakefront retreat located in the Vacation Capital of the World also known as Orlando, Florida, for a one of a kind vacation experience we’ll never forget!  This AAA Four Diamond award-winning Resort is currently ranked No. 6 of 380+ resorts in the Orlando-area on TripAdvisor (for good reason) and features dedicated service, relaxing surroundings & thoughtful touches you’d expect from a reliable high-end chain like Wyndham but on a GRAND scale.

The Wyndham Grand brand is known for combining premium amenities, restaurants, and spas with sophisticated architectural design. They are famous for transforming an otherwise ordinary hotel stay into an unforgettable experience, and yes – our stay at Wyndham Grand Orlando was truly unforgettable! With over 70+ Wyndham Grand properties located throughout North America, Mexico, Asia the Caribbean, Europe, and the Middle East (and the Wyndham brand itself has a portfolio of over 8,900 hotels worldwide), there are so many spectacular locations to select for your first or next Wyndham Grand experience. Read on to find out just a few reasons why we’re counting the days until our next Wyndham stay.

The Legend of Bonnet Creek

Many of us have driven down Buena Vista Drive through Walt Disney World Resort Property and passed by the “Bonnet Creek Resort” sign located at Chelonia Parkway, but most just assume it’s “Disney’s” Bonnet Creek Resort – however, that is not the case, so here’s a brief history lesson in what we know of the Legend of Bonnet Creek…

Bonnet Creek Resort is a 482-acre resort complex located immediately adjacent to the 27,443-acre central Florida parcel of land known as Walt Disney’s “Florida Project.” As a result, the Bonnet Creek property is surrounded on three sides by Walt Disney World Resort Property and I-4 on the remaining side.  The land itself was purchased in 1962 by an unknown real estate investor years before Walt Disney began buying up central Florida’s orange groves and swamp land for his Florida Project.  That’s right, Walt Disney wasn’t the only one buying up land in central Florida in the 1960’s!

A few years after the Bonnet Creek parcel purchase was made, Walt Disney purchased the land surrounding this mystery parcel but yet for whatever reason, Walt Disney couldn’t manage to purchase the Bonnet Creek parcel himself.  Was the price for the land too high? Could Disney not reach the mystery land owner to make the sale? Or, did the mystery land owner just not want to sell? We may never know the truth, but when The Walt Disney World Resort opened in 1971, the Bonnet Creek parcel was still untouched and actually remained undeveloped for nearly 3 decades after WDW opened. Even as Disney built EPCOT Center and Caribbean Beach Resort just next door, the property remained as is until the year 2000 when the land-owner was finally identified publicly.

As millennials who grew up at Walt Disney World, perhaps this is why the Bonnet Creek area has always peaked our curiosity. We remember this untapped area of Buena Vista Drive suddenly began being developed during the early 2000’s, at a time when (post-9/11) Disney was shutting hotel doors (Dixie Landings) and abandoning future builds (Pop Century – the Legendary Years) and we were always curious about what exactly it was that was being built.

Today, Bonnet Creek is home to one of the most beautiful theme park escapes in central Florida, the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek and it’s sister property, the Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek timeshare.

Stay GRAND

Opened in 2004, Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort, is a full-service resort nestled perfectly between EPCOT Center, Disney’s Hollywood Studios & Disney Springs.  The resort features Spanish-style architecture set in a 14-story secluded Mediterranean-style hideaway with 400 spacious elegantly appointed & well-designed guestrooms & suites surrounded by the natural beauty, tranquility & serenity of the Bonnet Creek Nature Preserve. The towering Resort building can be seen from many vantage points throughout Walt Disney World, and it’s location truly offers some of the best views in all the Disney world!

Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the Resort’s spacious clean & modern lobby. With lighting fixtures that sparkle like fireworks over Cinderella’s Castle & welcoming pops of color like a friendly smile, we made our way over to the front desk where the staff took excellent care to answer any and all of our questions.

For our hosted stay, we were provided with a spacious Lake View King Balcony guestroom, No. 521, which included a very comfortable King Bed, an oversize sink area with separate toilet & walk-in shower, a Refrigerator, Keurig Coffee Maker, sleeper sofa & a gorgeous balcony that overlooked the Resort’s Main Pool, the Back Bay Bar & Grill, the Disney Skyliner, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort, The Walt Disney World Dolphin in the distance & EPCOT Center’s World Showcase.

Our guestroom was conveniently located near the elevator & we never had an issue with noise. If you’ve stayed at a theme park hotel a few times, you may have noticed people coming and going at all hours in the hallways and elevators, but that wasn’t the case with our guestroom. Yes, there were people moving about day and night, but we were never disturbed by them or anything going on outside of our room (hallway or outside of our balcony) for that matter. We appreciated the convenience of being so close to the elevator, the ice machine & of course – the view!

If you’ve been readers of our blog for a while, you know we love a good balcony! Often times, especially at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, the balconies are either too small or underwhelming. That’s not to say we don’t love the balconies at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort & a few others, but we’ve had some pretty terrible balconies over the years at Disney Resort Hotels. However, that was not the case at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort! Our guestroom featured a full-size balcony with two chairs, a table, and plenty of room to kick up & rest those park hopping feet.

Whether we were watching the fireworks from EPCOT Center, taking in views of the Disney Skyliner floating high above Disney’s Caribbean Beach & Riviera Resorts, or enjoying the beautiful Resort grounds below, relaxing together on our oversize balcony was where we spent most of our time during our stay.

Not every guestroom at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort features a balcony or a lake view, but if you have the means, we highly recommended you reserve one when booking your stay!

There’s nothing more magical than experiencing the Walt Disney World Resort fireworks from your very own private guest room balcony at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek, and during our stay – we did just that! We enjoyed the fireworks from our own private sanctuary at Wyndham Grand Orlando without worrying about crowds & how we were going to get back to our resort. It was absolutely perfect in every way!

Every evening, after a delicious meal & an evening stroll around the lakefront, we watched from our guest room the spectacular fireworks from Disney’s EPCOT Center. Being so close to the magic was truly a dream come true.

Take a Peak inside all that’s included in a Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek Stay with our YouTube Short:

GRAND Amenities

If you’ve been reading this site for a while, you’ll know where BIG fans of a two-for-one.

At Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek, the amenities are endless thanks to the added perk of two resorts for the price of one. That’s right, Resort guests are free to take advantage of all the amenities available at the onsite timeshare property, Club Wyndham as well as those located in the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort themselves. Take a swim, then a nap, play a round of mini golf, enjoy a delicious meal, rinse and repeat.

Swim GRAND!

There’s no shortage of ways to keep cool at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek! Splash your way around 6 pools, 8 hot tubs, 2 lazy rivers, 2 water slides, & 2 splash pads. If that’s not enough, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon & Blizzard Beach Water Parks are both just a short ride away.

Each of Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort’s 6 pools has something to offer, so it’s impossible to pick a favorite because our honest answer would have to be ALL OF THEM! However, we’ll share a little more detail about each so you can get a better idea of what a pool day at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek would be like:

All the pools are easy to access & located along the property’s Boardwalk, but we’ll start with the Oasis Pool, the Resort’s lovely main pool that truly is a blissful oasis. It’s truly cathartic when we find the perfect space to turn it all off and toast to the day, and the Oasis Pool was just that.

The pool is located right outside the Resort tower where you’ll find complimentary pool towels, a zero-entry pool, comfortable sun loungers, umbrella’s, & for us – it’s close proximity to the Back Bay Bar & Grill is definitely a plus! We may have pool hopped our way around the Resort each day, but we always ended up at Back Bay for a lakefront or poolside lunch al fresco.

Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek’s Pirate Ship Pool is a Guest Favorite!

When chatting with other guests, the Pirate Ship Pool (located between Tower 5 & Tower 6 of the Club Wyndham) was by far the favorite of guests young and young at heart, and we absolutely loved this pool for it’s fabulously fun slide, zero-entry & the theming…

The theming near the Pirate Ship Pool and it’s surrounding area is, no joke, Disney-level. There are actually two pools (one with the slide & one without) in this particular area of the Resort and they are separated by the winding lazy river. It’s almost as if Captain Jack crashed The Black Pearl ship into an old Spanish fort right here in – Orlando?! Everything from the pool and its surrounding lazy river to the nearby Escudos restaurant & the amazing replica of Castillo de San Marcos National Monument is beyond immersive, we completely forgot we were right next to a theme park!

This pool offers complimentary pool towels, sun loungers, umbrellas, lakefront hot tubs, and cabanas for rent. The cabanas are located throughout the Pirate Ship Pool area and feature two sun loungers, a television, and a dedicated pool attendant.

Complimentary innertubes are provided for guests to explore The Lazy River, and the tall surrounding palms provide an ample mix of sun and shade. The River winds through the well-themed and well-maintained scenic landscape of Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek. There’s even a bridge & waterfall feature that reminded us very much of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort. It’s truly as surprisingly beautiful as it sounds.

The Kiddie Pool is the perfect place for little travelers to splash the day away. It’s located between Tower 2 & Tower 3, and conveniently next to La Cocina Pizzeria Pool & Bar where you can grab a frozen beverage or a delicious pizza pie. Also nearby is the Resort’s mini golf course, so after hitting a hole-in-one, the kiddos can go for a swim to cool off in the Florida sun.

Lastly, the Puerto de Leon Pool which is located at the Main Lobby for the Club Wyndham Orlando, is the perfect spot for relaxing to live music lakefront. We enjoyed lounging in the sun to the music of some very talented musicians throughout our stay, and the poolside beverage bar was a great feature as well!

This lakefront pool is zero-entry, offers plenty of sun loungers, complimentary pool towels, and the Resort’s second lazy river. On overcast days, we spent a lot of time in the hot tubs at this particular pool because we absolutely couldn’t get enough of those lakefront views.

Complimentary Resort Activities

There’s no shortage of resort activities for the whole family at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek day or night. We visited during the month of February, and we’ve included a list of the Resort Activities taking place during our stay:

Music Trivia in the Outdoor Amphitheater at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek
Glow Parties at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek are fun for everyone!

From live music poolside and lakefront music trivia during the day to glow parties at night, the fun never stops at Wyndham Grand Orlando. The best part, even dogs can join in on the fun at this pet-friendly resort! Stay tuned for more from our Wyndham Grand vlog series over on YouTube, or head on over to our Instagram where you can watch our story highlights featuring everything there is to do at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek!

Complimentary Gas Grills

Maybe you’re not looking to have a full sit-down meal at one of the Resort’s restaurants, and that’s okay! Fire up one of the many super convenient gas grills located throughout the Resort for a picnic on the lakefront under a gorgeous pergola.

That’s right, the grills at Wyndham Grand Orlando are gas, NOT charcoal like those Disney Vacation Club (DVC) properties, so there’s no need to buy any charcoal. They’re also very well maintained & super clean.

Cost is relative, but let’s face it – a trip to the central Florida theme parks can add up quickly, especially if you’re vacationing with a large group. We chatted with many guests who were grilling up delicious steaks, burgers & kabobs throughout our stay, and every one of them remarked at how nice & clean the grills were, how many grills there actually were (no shortage here!) and how much they appreciated that cost-saving amenity. We appreciated all the smells we took in on our the lakefront strolls!

Complimentary Herb & Vegetable Garden

As an added bonus, we stumbled across Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort’s on-property Herb & Vegetable Garden on our morning walks. We’ve seen a few gardens at Disney-owned resorts, but these were never for guest use. However, the Garden at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort is exclusively for guests!

The Wyndham Garden was packed with fresh produce including lettuce, basil & mint for guests to use during their stay. It smelled amazing every morning, especially the mint! This was a major perk for those who were grilling, and it was a very cool feature of the Resort. Kudos to Wyndham – it’s the little things that really make a stay magical.

Blu Harmony Spa & Fitness Center

With a spa and state-of-the-art fitness center located on site, Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek easily transitioned into a home-away-from-home for us during our stay. Every morning, after our run through the beautiful Bonnet Creek Resort area, we took advantage of the well-maintained fitness equipment located in the Fitness Center on the ground floor.

Although we didn’t use them during our stay, there were plenty of treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes (sorry, they’re not Pelotons) to help you keep up with your indoor cardio. The area is clean, spacious, and offers floor-to-ceiling views of the main pool. This was the perfect way to finish off our morning before heading to breakfast at Tesoro Cove!

After all the central Florida theme park hopping, we enjoyed a very relaxing spa day at Blue Harmony Spa with massages and treatments that were some of the best we’ve had. There’s nothing better after few long days in the theme parks than a relaxing massage. We knew we were in good hands with the Spa’s friendly and knowledgeable staff, and they took great care of us!

Pet-Friendly Theme Park Accommodations

We hate leaving our pets at home, and if it wasn’t for the plane ride (our senior pups couldn’t handle the long car ride), they would’ve joined us on this trip and loved every minute of it because Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek is pet-friendly! The Resort welcomes one pet weighing up to 25 pounds for an additional fee of $150 for all stays between 1-6 nights or $300 for stays 7+ nights.

We saw lots of doggos during our stay walking The Resort’s Boardwalk. A Service Animal Relief Area is located adjacent to Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek between the Resort and Tower 3.

Location, Location, Location!

Located just minutes from Orlando’s iconic attractions, Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek is a playground of fun for everyone! Even though the Resort is tucked quietly away from all the park hopping, it’s best feature is how close it truly is to the magic. Here lies the perfect balance, you’re close enough to the action but also removed enough from it to find respite when needed.

During our stay, we visited so many of Orlando’s world-class restaurants & attractions via our rental car, ride share services & also the Resort’s incredible complimentary theme park bus transportation services. We seriously can’t get over how close this Resort is to EVERYTHING:

  • Typhoon Lagoon – 2.4 miles
  • Disney Springs – 2.9 miles
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios – 3.5 miles
  • Blizzard Beach – 4.4 miles
  • EPCOT Center – 4.5 miles
  • Magic Kingdom – 4.9 miles
  • Animal Kingdom – 6.7 miles
  • Sea World Orlando – 8.6 miles
  • Promenade at Sunset Walk – 9.1 miles
  • Universal Orlando – 14.1 miles

Complimentary Theme Park Transportation

Move over Walt Disney World Transportation because Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek has raised the bar with their complimentary theme park transportation game thanks to the best driver in the business, Nelson!

Every ride with Nelson is a VIBE! He provides complimentary waters, lollipops, the best tips to maximize your Park day & an amazing soundtrack to get you pumped for the Parks!

Let’s be honest for a minute – How many times have you been on a Disney bus? For us, it’s been 30+ years of riding Walt Disney World bus transportation, and never have we ever had such an amazing experience getting to & from the theme parks & Disney Springs thanks to Nelson’s kindness, energy & concern for everyone’s safety. Honestly, transportation to & from the theme parks has always been the major downfall of the Orlando-resort area (Disney Deluxe Resorts sharing buses, not enough buses, the traffic, etc.). However, that’s not the case at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek. We truly looked forward to riding the bus every morning & night which is something we can’t say we’ve EVER said at any other Orlando resort or hotel.

Live GRAND

Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek is the perfect full-service resort to stay active while on vacation.

Soak in the shade, the sun & the seclusion of the 482-acre Bonnet Creek Nature Preserve as you run, walk, bike or roller blade along the scenic paved sidewalks surrounded by 500 acres of lush coconut palms, wetlands & natural beauty.

Many times hotels and resorts phone it in with the landscaping, but at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek, the theming is reminiscent of old-school Disney right down to their selection of tress, shrubs & florals. It’s obvious the Resort cares about its plant life & it shows, because every part of the landscape at Wyndham Grand Orlando is perfection!

The pathways through Bonnet Creek & Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort are the perfect combination of sun & shade mixed with a frenzy of foliage. Our morning runs through the Bonnet Creek Nature Preserve and the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek truly were the best part of our day, and we don’t know how we’ll ever be able to go back to our normal runs again!

Thinking about a runDisney event? Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort is the perfect spot to stay for your next runDisney race event!

Calories may not count at Disney (that’s what we keep telling ourselves at least), but it is fantastic to have such an amazing & well-maintained jogging path so close to the Parks!

Eat GRAND

When it comes to good food, Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek has you covered, and boy do they have options! Everything from burgers, tacos and pizza to sushi & seafood is right at your fingertips. If that’s not enough, grab a few items at a nearby market & take advantage of one of their complimentary gas grills.

Tesoro Cove Family Fare

After a restful night’s sleep, start your morning at this incredible buffet serving made-to-order omelets & decadent waffles, fresh donuts, fruit, and the most delicious breakfast potatoes. Did we mention kids 12 & under enjoy breakfast for free? Major perk!

When it comes to made-to-order omelets, the culinary team at Wyndham Grand Orlando hit it out of the park every morning thanks to Sonia & Ronaldo who served us up the most delicious omelets.

Barista

Located in the Resort’s Main Lobby, this convenient grab & go market features Starbucks coffee. Serving everything from fruit cups and yogurt parfaits to waffles and burritos, The Barista was a main staple throughout our stay. We stopped here every morning after our run & always before heading into the theme parks as a part of our daily routine. Janine lived for their smoothies post-run & Jared their freshly brewed coffee but we both get enough of their brownies & ice cream day or night.

Back Bay Pool Bar & Grill

Enjoy a relaxing lunch lakefront or poolside at this fantastic outdoor eatery featuring tasty wings, burgers, salads, quesadillas & live music. During our stay, we enjoyed a “Trio of Dips & Chips” (guacamole, queso, salsa & chips), juicy burgers & fries, and delicious quesadillas. The venue offers all outdoor seating. One portion is covered seating along the Boardwalk/lakefront and the other is in the open-air bar area with both bar-top and table seating.

So often, pool bars are an afterthought when it comes to resorts & hotels. They tend to lack flavor and quality ingredients, but that is not the case at Back Bay where every item on the menu just keeps getting better with every bite. Looking for a liquid lunch? Keep cool in the Florida sun with delicious cocktails from Back Bay that we would order time and again! (Please and thank you).

Whatever you’re after, Back Bay’s got it – come for the food, stay for the views!

Deep Blu Seafood Grille

If you haven’t reserved a table Deep Blu Seafood Grille for your next Disney Date Night, what in the Disney World are you waiting for?

This upscale AAA Four Diamond Award-winning restaurant features a unique menu of fresh sustainable seafood with savory southern flavors & fantastic service! From start to finish, we had the perfect Disney Date Night at Deep Blu. It’s easy to see why this restaurant is so celebrated for not only its cuisine, but also the super friendly service.

Perfectly pan-seared scallops and decadent pork belly served with cauliflower puree, asparagus, & pickled onions. Janine didn’t think she’d like the pickled onions and actually was hesitant about trying them at first, but then after she did – she remarked how incredibly complimentary the pickled onion flavor was to the cauliflower puree.

Must Order: The House Specialty – Blu Crab Crusted Grouper topped with Béarnaise & served with Asparagus & roasted fingerling potatoes. To say we loved the Grouper would be an understatement. It was a revelation & cooked to perfection and the sauce was the perfect pairing for the dish. We would like to express a very big THANK YOU to our server Nebula for her recommendation of the Grouper because without her, we would’ve went in a whole other direction & missed out on this amazing dish.

We aren’t big on desert, but our server insisted we try a sampling of their most popular items and we’re so glad she did. These deserts are all worth saving room for.

Our table was the best seat in the house! A table for two located along the windows which overlooked the Pirate Pool area. We could see everything going on outside in the pool area and admire the beautiful swaying palm trees, but we also could see everything going on in the open kitchen which was fantastic!

Whatever you do, do not miss this food gem, where the bites are as transportive as the trip to Orlando itself. Trust us when we say, Deep Blu Seafood Grille is a central Florida hidden gem & it rivals Disney’s Narcoossee’s. You absolutely have to try the house specialty – blu crab crusted Grouper because it’s TDF!

Bar 1521

Located just off the Main Lobby of the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek, Bar 1521 is a wonderful addition to the already incredible culinary offerings at the Resort.

No it’s not a bar located at the top of the Disney world at California Grill, but Bar 1521 at Wyndham Grand Orlando sure ranks up there as one of our Top 5 Bars in central Florida thanks to the incredible food & service. First, our server Ashley was fantastic! We gave her the chance to win us over with the Bar’s signature drinks, and she did an amazing job both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

The Bar features classic bar seating, standard lounge seating, a unique set of “clam shell” seats similar to what we’ve seen on Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas cruise ship, and comfy outdoor seating overlooking the Resort. Our favorite was the outdoor seating.

We had the most delicious sushi during our stay that should not be missed. Even if you’re not staying at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort, make your way over to Bar 1521 just for the excellent sushi rolls!

Escudos Bar & Grill

Located just a short walk around the lake from the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort and over at the Club Wyndham, Escudos Bar & Grill is an outdoor eatery with both poolfront & lakefront seating.

Serving everything from burgers to burritos, Escudos continues the overall pirate theming of the Resort featuring fantastic food & service. We really enjoyed the street tacos, the empanadas, & the nachos! The best part – you can either have your meal tableside OR order it To Go which meant we were back to the lazy river faster.

Word of warning, the tacos are meant to be street tacos which means you eat several to fill up. We chatted with a few other patrons who just ordered the tacos to share and were disappointed in their size. We tried to explain to them that they’re meant to be bite sized, but if you’re not familiar with street tacos, we can understand this might be upsetting.

Scoops

When we said Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek had endless amenities, we weren’t joking. They’ve literally thought of everything!

Every night on our evening stroll around the beautiful Boardwalk of Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek’s lakefront, we’d stop to grab a tasty treat from our friends at Scoops. The staff at Scoops really is the sweetest 🙂 This ice cream spot, a fast favorite of ours, is located just across the lake from the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort at the Club Wyndham’s Ponce de Leon lobby.

Scooping up a sweet treat at Scoops was the absolute best way to end our nights at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort!

Celebrate GRAND

We honestly couldn’t dream of a better spot to say “I Do,” than in the picture-perfect Floridian surroundings of Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek. Although we were married long before our stay at Wyndham Grand Orlando, we met a few couples who were either married or honeymooning during our stay, and they couldn’t gush enough about the little things Resort did to take their experience over the top.

With over 50,000 square feet of event space, why not celebrate a special occasion in one of Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek’s beautiful ballrooms, banquet rooms or lakefront venues?

With a variety of indoor & outdoor options, Wyndham Grand Orlando has the perfect venue for your wedding ceremony, reception, and rehearsal dinner:

  • Bonnet Creek Ballroom – 3,500 sq. ft. @ 150 guests
  • Ponce de Leon Ballroom – 8,000 sq. ft. @ 400 guests
  • Horizon Event Suite – 1,600 sq. ft. @ 100 guests
  • Deep Blu Seafood Grille – 200 guests
  • Oasis Pool Deck – 400 guests
View from the balcony of The Horizon Ballroom at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek

An outdoor wedding on the pool deck, surrounded by this beautiful resort sounds absolutely dreamy to us!

GRAND Service

The truth is, the pixie dust & sparkles never faded at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek. From the front desk staff to the food & beverage team, the staff at Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek made us feel at home with their unmatched customer service & professionalism.

After a day of park hopping around Universal Orlando, we arrived back to our guestroom at Wyndham Grand Orlando where we were treated to a refreshing bottle of Saratoga still spring water and a box of chocolates. This was completely unexpected, incredibly thoughtful & exactly what we needed to rehydrate & regroup from our long day in the Parks!

The Hospitality Team did a fantastic job of keeping our guestroom clean & stocked with everything we needed during our stay. Currently, full housekeeping services are performed on the third day of your stay, and a “Room Refresh” is performed on a daily basis consisting of: emptying trash, making the bed, and replacing towels and bath amenities.

If this darling Resort hasn’t been on your radar, we highly suggest you give it a go on your next Orlando vacation. Being so close to all of central Florida’s world-famous theme parks & minutes from everything in the Walt Disney World Resort has been a dream come true! There really is no better home-away-from-home for us. Whatever your pleasure, Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek really does seem to have it all.
