During our most recent stay, we fell head over heels in LOVE with Hollywood & South Florida thanks to our stay at the incredible Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort.

Thanks to some of the most beautiful beaches, amazing attractions, & the best weather in the US, Fort Lauderdale & Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort have everything we could ever need when it comes to our perfect vacation destination – because here, hot girl summer never ends thanks to twelve full months of outdoor living!

Accommodations

Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort sits oceanfront at 18 stories and offers over 350 guest rooms where coastal-casual meets luxury and offering private balconies home to amazing views of either the Atlantic Ocean or Fort Lauderdale’s Intracoastal Waterway. Bed configurations come in either one king or two queen. For our stay, we reserved a “Paradise Ocean Front King.”

Some of our favorite features of this room were the semi-private entrance off the main hall, the oversize bathroom including one of the largest showers we’ve seen in a non-suite hotel room, the complimentary bathrobes, the high ceilings which are rare in the hotel industry, and the beautiful ocean-front balcony.

Amenities

Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort has no shortage of pools! You will find three pools throughout the resort, to be exact. There are two beach-level pools: The Lone Palm Pool and the LandShark Pool. Both pools are open to guests of all ages, including children. The LandShark Pool is a favorite among guests with young children thanks to its fabulous waterslide, waterfall and tiki cabanas! Although The Lone Palm Pool is open to guests of all ages and also offers cabanas, and a pool bar, there is no water slide.

We really enjoyed the rooftop adults-only pool located at The License Chill Bar located on the Resort’s 11th floor and featuring the most beautiful views of Hollywood Beach. The pool and bar are available to guests ages 21 and over. From high atop the 11th floor of Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, we enjoyed watching as cruise ships left Port Everglades and headed south.

Entertainment

The variety and quality of live entertainment you will find resort-wide during your stay at Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is beyond impressive. This isn’t just another hotel. It’s a full fledged South Florida entertainment complex!

Dance the afternoon away poolside with DJs spinning at the Landshark Bar & Grill or splash along with a Reggae vibe along the Intracoastal Waterway at the 5 o’clock Somewhere Bar & Grill.

Think the fun stops once the sun sets? Wrong! There are two options to choose from when it comes to nightlife at Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort – Jimmy Buffett’s signature restaurant, Margaritaville, features a live indoor show or head down to the oceanfront main stage (our fav spot) where a variety of bands from rock to country, top 40 to Latin and reggae, take the Broadwalk at the Hollywood Beach Theater.

Dining

On our last evening at the Resort, we decided to dine at Margaritaville’s signature restaurant, JWB Prime Steak & Seafood. The restaurant is one of a kind as Hollywood Florida is the only location that offers the chance to dine at JWB. The Resort promises a “luxe-laid back” steakhouse, and it certainly lived up to its promise.

If you would’ve told us that the same person who serves Cheeseburgers in Paradise at Margaritaville also operates the most amazing steakhouse in South Florida, we might not have believed you. It’s one thing to master a good burger, but quite another to serve fantastic steaks and seafood entrees that are literally a little bit of magic with every bite.

With so many options in South Florida, we were hesitant to spend our last night at the restaurant in our hotel lobby, but we sure are glad we did! Everything about our meal, from the appetizers to the dessert, was magnificent. The steaks were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was fantastic. Everyone was attentive to our needs, and our glasses were always full. It is obvious that both the wait-staff and the kitchen-staff at JWB have all been professionally trained.

JWB Steak was the highlight of our stay at Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort. From beginning to end, we had the most memorable evening together thanks to the amazing service and surroundings of this one-of-a-kind restaurant. This little slice of paradise served the best steak, seafood, and cocktails that should not be missed by Resort guests or locals in the Hollywood/Miami/Fort Lauderdale area – come for the cocktails, stay for the food!

Hollywood Beach

There are so many reasons to love Hollywood Beach, and Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is perfectly located in the heart of all of it! This beautiful east coast beach is absolutely pristine, and it’s the perfect spot for a fun day in the sun.

What we loved most was that we didn’t have to go far for a meal during our days lounging on the beaches of Hollywood thanks to the restaurant-lined Broadwalk. This 2.5 mile brick-paved pedestrian promenade is home to over fifty restaurants. If you’re looking to stay acting – the Broadwalk is perfect for doing just that. From jogging to biking and walking the sandy beaches, there are so many ways to enjoy Hollywood Beach year-round.

Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is our favorite South Florida resort thanks to its unique laid back “casual-lux” vibe, the décor, and the absolutely amazing JWB Steakhouse. In our opinion, there really is no resort quite like Margaritaville Hollywood Beach and if we could – we’d spend all our days poolside, wasting away again and again in Margaritaville!
