Everglades Holiday Park – 21940 Griffin Rd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33332
In today’s vlog we checked off something that’s been on our bucket list for a while – an airboat tour through the Florida Everglades.
South Florida is full of airboat tours, but we chose Everglades Holiday Park after reading a number of positive reviews. The best features of this particular outfit is that their airboats are covered to shade guests from the Florida sun (in contrast to many of the stadium-style open-sun airboats), the airboats are not overfilled and parties are proportionately spaced apart, and the informative guides make sure that there really is no bad seat onboard. In addition, Everglades Holiday Park’s airboat tours are an adventure everyone in the family will love! Our airboat was made up of guests from all ages including children as young as 5 years old to adults well in their 70’s. Although Jared is not a fan of boats, and you can definitely see the anxiety in his face in some of the shots, we both really enjoyed the tour’s mix of slow cruising and high-speed sailing through the Everglades because believe it or not, the sparkling waters and lush greenery of the Florida Everglades were even more beautiful than our cameras could capture, and it is just something you have to see for yourself.
Our guided tour was a BLAST thanks to our ride onboard a 350 horse power twin V8 airboat via Everglades Holiday Park. Our afternoon was packed with plenty of wildlife encounters (some a little closer than others), education, high speed thrills, and some of the best gator puns we’ve ever heard, thanks to the awesome Captain Jeremy. We had perfect weather for our tour, and we got up close with a number of animals that call the Florida Everglades home. In all of our years visiting Florida, this is the closest we’ve ever come to an alligator, and Everglades Holiday Park made us feel safe the entire time.
Everglades Airboat Tours are priced at $34.99 USD per adult and $22.99 USD per child, and it was worth every penny! There is also a post-tour animal encounter that can be purchased for an additional fee of $40.00 USD per adult or child. In the interest of time, we did not have the opportunity to experience the animal encounter, but it is something we are interested in returning for. Tickets can be reserved online or by phone at (954) 434-8111.
We had such a fun afternoon at Everglades Holiday Park thanks to our incredible Instagram Followers, and we hope you enjoy the vlog as much as we enjoyed filming it 🙂
We can’t thank our Instagram Followers enough for helping us discover the natural beauty of the Florida Everglades, helping us plan our day, and checking another fantastic adventure off our bucket list.
