Walt Disney World Legend: YeHaa Bob Jackson

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside –  1251 Riverside Dr, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830.

Wednesday through Saturday nights, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort is the place for fun at The Walt Disney World Resort.  As if you needed another reason to visit (or stay) at the already insanely popular Port Orleans, this is the home of Disney Legend – YeHaa Bob Jackson.  If you haven’t been to a YeHaa Bob show, go now.  With the perfect combination of song, dance, comedy, and an all-around good time – YeHaa Bob is a must see on your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.

The River Roost at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside just happens to be one of the best bars, in our opinion, on Walt Disney World Property.  It’s uniquely themed food and beverage offerings, friendly bartenders, and charming location are just a few reasons it has consistently been one of our favorites over the years.  However, The Roost’s main attraction is Disney entertainer extraordinaire, YeHaa Bob Jackson.

YeHaa Bob has been rocking The River Roost at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Riverside with first class entertainment for as long as we can remember (over seventeen years) and even after hundreds of visits, we can say this Walt Disney World Entertainer’s show never gets old.

Travel Note: Make an evening of it! Port Orleans Resort Riverside is also home to Boatwright’s Dining Hall where you can enjoy casual southern dishes inside an old shipyard.

YeHaa Bob’s stage presence is infectious.  His outstanding musical abilities and slapstick humor are the reason we continue to return on each of our visits to The World.  YeHaa Bob’s performance includes a brilliant mix of rock and roll classics from across the eras with a good mix of popular Disney tunes.  This family friendly show has something for everyone, and YeHaa Bob does a fantastic job of making sure everyone who shows up has a fantastic time.  For a few hours YeHaa Bob will shower the young and old with Disney magic through a mix of song and dance, and of course audience participation.  If the thought of singing and dancing in front of complete strangers makes you nervous don’t worry, as YeHaa Bob famously tells his fans, “you’ll never see these people again!”

YeHaa Bob’s love for his fans is obvious.  Before and after each show, YeHaa Bob graciously takes time to personally greet and thank each of his fans.  We typically arrive at least 15 – 20 minutes early to grab a few seats at the bar for a visit with our favorite River Roost bartender, Steve G.

Travel Note: Arrive early, stay late & don’t forget your camera.  If you’re lucky, you’ll snap a selfie with the one and only YeHaa Bob!

Maybe you are one of the lucky few, like us, who have seen a YeHaa Bob show. However, one thing many people don’t know about YeHaa Bob Jackson is that he is an extremely talented songwriter and performer.   The next time you visit, be sure to pick up one of his CD’s.

Getting There: If you’re staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, The River Roost is located nearby the Riverside Lobby & Reception area.

If you are not a guest of Disney’s Port Orleans Resort, this is the tricky part.  The easiest way for Disney Resort Guests to attend a YeHaa Bob show is to catch the first theme park (or Disney Springs) bus that arrives at your Resort.  From there, catch a bus to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort from said theme park.  For the return trip, you would do the same.  However, make sure you pay attention to park hours to guarantee buses will still be running for your return trip home.

  • For example, while staying at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort, the first bus that arrived at our resort was the bus to Disney Springs (and since Disney Springs is not far from Port Orleans) we took the Disney Springs bus. From Disney Springs we caught the bus to Port Orleans (you could also take the water taxi) from The Springs.  For our return trip, the first bus that arrived (after midnight) was headed to Hollywood Studios.  Our friendly driver was  concerned that we were heading to the Studios at midnight since it was closed, but we assured him that we were guests of Yacht & Beach and just returning to our Resort.  After our explanation, he was happy to drop us off near the resort walkway at Hollywood Studios.  From Hollywood Studios we walked the resort pathway back to Yacht & Beach.  The path was well lit and there were plenty of other guests returning to their Epcot Resort after a day at Hollywood Studios.

If you have specific questions regarding the logistics of your particular plans, please don’t hesitate to ask.  We want to make sure everyone gets a chance to see a YeHaa Bob Show!

For more detailed information on specific show dates and times or to learn more about this Disney Legend, please visit YeHaa Bob’s website.

Simply put, a YeHaa Bob show is a Walt Disney World institution and a must see on your next trip to The World.  When the parks close, head on over to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Wednesday through Saturday for the most fun you will ever have anywhere! We hope you add a YeHaa Bob show to your upcoming Walt Disney World itinerary.
